About Us
Srivaranam Organization for the Environmental Education (SOEE) established in 2016 in Bangalore as an organization to address environmental and social activities in India. The SOEE is a not for profit and an officially registered Non-governmental Organization (NGO).
The primary focus of this organization is to educate the local entities with the aspects of sustainable development as introduced by the United Nations (UN) in 2015 for the development to set out a 15-year plan to achieve its 17 goals.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere. The 17 Goals were adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and are called as UN 2030 Agenda.
We conduct seminars & workshops, training that will enhance the capacity building of the local community and personnel involved in regional academic and research institutions.
Further, our organization, SOEE, is involved in few other programs include Environmental as well as Social activities:
Environmental:
- Plantation in the region that enhances the green cover. This regard, primary activity is restoration of degraded forest eco-systems in northern region of Bangalore.
- We work together on ecological conservation with the local communities in a progressive manner. Collaboration with different stakeholders, including the official agencies that take care of regional forests, is one of our key to success.
- To promote environment friendly life style, undertake actions and programs that promote the conservation & development of natural resources & build-up awareness among the communities on these matters.
Social Inclusion:
- Assisting the physically & mentally challenged persons for their betterment of life.
- Promoting the human rights.
